- Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins have been confirmed for The Boys final season
- Padalecki and Collins will reunite with former Supernatural co-star Jensen Ackles
- Details of Padalecki and Collins’ roles has not been revealed yet

While fans of Supernatural and The Boys unite in their excitement over the news that Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins will be once again teaming up with Jensen Ackles, Padalecki has admitted his role in the final season of the superhero drama is ‘effing terrifying’.
Padalecki and Ackles starred together between 2005-2020 across 327 episodes of the CW series and will now, alongside Collins, come together to help bring down the curtain on the blood drenched Amazon series, which will air next year.
Despite being cast for an as-yet-unknown role in the final season, Adalecki has revealed it is ‘effing terrifying’ and that he still doesn’t know all that much about it.
During an interview at the 2025 Texas Film Awards, Padalecki said of the role, via ScreenRant, “I don’t know a whole lot about it, which is effing terrifying. Yeah, I don’t know what we’re doing. I don’t know if we like, bump into each other. I don’t know much about it. They’re still trying to write and figure out who’s gonna be there. But it’ll be the end of this month.”
THE BOYS SEASON FIVE: EVERYTHING WE KNOW SO FAR
Padalecki explained that his wife Genevieve, who also starred in Supernatural, believed that he would most likely end up in a weird role.
“I know Eric Kripke very well. I know The Boys very well. He’s like, ‘Hey, you wanna come play?’ I’m like, ‘Yes, I think?’ To give credit to my wife, I was like ‘Hey, I think it’s gonna be a weird role. I don’t know what to do.’ And she was like, ‘You excited about it?’ I was like, ‘Yeah.’ She goes, ‘Then do it.’ I was like ‘OK. You wanna read it first?’ She was like, ’No, if you like it, then do it.’”
“Only if you get to be in your birthday suit” Genevieve added, to which Padalecki replied, “I’m sweating now. Literally my text to Eric Kripke was like, ‘Hey, if I’m getting naked, just give me like a month’s notice to eat broccoli and rice and chicken breasts and all day long just sit there doing push-ups.’ It’s f**king terrifying for me.”
The fifth and final season of The Boys will air in 2026, with the premiere episode entitled Fifteen Inches of Sheer Dynamite. Speaking with GamesRadar+ at San Diego Comic Con last year, showrunner Eric Kripke said of the ‘super big, apocalyptic’ final season, “there will probably be lots of death. That’s the fun of the final season. You can blow the doors off it. There’s no guarantee who’s going to survive because you don’t have to keep [the cast] for another season. So you can have really shocking, big things happen all the time. The writers, as we’re starting to cook it up, we’re really enjoying that.”
