The Last of Us season two has been full of surprising moments but one that may have gone largely under the radar involved a surprise cameo from a Friends star.
New episodes of Neil Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin’s post-apocalyptic thriller series about humanities brutal battles with a fungal infection returned earlier this month.

We’re only two episodes in so far but already the show has made headlines thanks to a plot twist that – while familiar to fans of the show’s video game counterpart – came as a shock to many viewers.
However, before that arrived, The Last of Us was already full of surprises. One blink-and-you’ll-miss-it treat came in the form of a surprise appearance from Friends star Jennifer Aniston.

The moment took place in the season two’s debut episode, Future Days. In it, we follow Bella Ramsey’s Ellie on a patrol with Isabela Merced’s Dina during which she finds an old issue of People magazine that has survived the chaos of the apocalypse.
Cut to more than a week later and now Aniston herself has responded to the moment. So what did she say?
Jennifer Aniston reacts to The Last of Us cameo
While Ellie only briefly glimpses at Aniston’s People magazine cover before throwing it to the ground to investigate some potential danger, the moment wasn’t lost on Aniston.
The Friends star took to her own Instagram story in late April to comment on the moment with a brief yet great response.
“Of all the things to survive the apocalypse,” wrote the actress. She followed it up with the crying laughing emoji and tagged The Last of Us’s official Instagram account in the video.
Are Jennifer Aniston and Pedro Pascal dating?
This cameo comes hot off the heels of romance rumors linking Aniston with The Last of Us star Pedro Pascal. However, these were quickly shot down.
They appear to have originated from a sighting of the pair at dinner together in a West Hollywood restaurant.
However, Pascal quickly explained that the pair were just “friends” during an interview with E! News. He added that they were joined by mutual friends during their recent meet up.
