- The Buffalo Bills have already secured the AFC East
- Chiefs and Lions guaranteed a wild card place

The 2024 NFL season is not far from playoff territory, with each conference taking shape ahead of the post-season.
In the AFC, the Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Steelers and defending Super Bowl champions the Kansas City Chiefs are the best placed teams, with the Bills already securing the AFC East and the Chiefs guaranteed of at least a wild card berth. Meanwhile, in the NFC, the Detroit Lions are also sure of at least a wild card place, while the 11-2 Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings are looking good to keep their campaigns going beyond the regular season.
But when are the biggest games at the business end of the 2024 NFL season happening?
Here are all the essential dates for your diary when it comes to Gridiron over the next couple of months.
5 JANUARY, 2025: Final regular season games
11/12/13 JANUARY: Wild Card Round
18/19 JANUARY: Divisional Round
26 JANUARY: Conference Championships
9 FEBRUARY: Super Bowl LIX
Super Bowl LIX will be held at the Superdome in New Orleans, home of the Saints. Although given the Saints are currently 5-8 in the NFC South, we shouldn’t be expecting to see Mickey Loomis’ men competing for the Vince Lombardi trophy in Louisiana in early February.
Can the Chiefs make it three in a row? Can the Detroit Lions not only reach their first ever Super Bowl, but go all the way and be crowned NFL champions? Can the Buffalo Bills avenge their four straight Super Bowl defeats between 1991 and 1994? We will find out as all the biggest games of the campaign are played out between now and 9 February, 2025.
