Ballistic Moon’s Until Dawn Remake has had its fair share of leaks. Hours of gameplay of this unreleased game are all over the internet. The most recent leaks reveal crucial information and hint at a potential sequel.

What Was Leaked?
Earlier this week, over three hours of gameplay detailing the new prologue of Until Dawn was streamed on Twitch. The leak highlighted the updated visuals and the cinematic differences between the original and the remake. The Remake, now built in Unreal Engine 5, is priced at $60 and adds several new accessibility options alongside ray tracing effects.
A more recent leak showcases two new post-credits scenes in the game. This comes as a surprise, as the Remake was designed to remain faithful to the original. Instead, the new post-credits scenes go as far as to change the fate of a character and even hint at a sequel.
The first scene changes Rami Malek’s character, Josh’s fate. In the original game’s good ending, he ends up dying to the Wendigo or transforming into them. The Remake shows Josh somehow surviving the Wendigo encounter with a Dr Hill voiceover suggesting he makes it out alive.
The second scene is entirely new and is set years after the ending. Hayden Panettiere’s character Sam is shown several years later in Los Angeles suffering from PTSD. She has pills at her bedside table and is reading a book named “Creature Myths of the Great Plains.”
While trying to shut off her alarm, she notices blood flowing down from her forearm. She struggles to care for her wound and is instead haunted by a creepy voice calling her name. This suggests she may be hallucinating and is still suffering from the effects of the mountain.
Whether this post-credits scene points towards a sequel or narrative changes in the rumored film adaptation is unknown. Fans of the game lean more towards the scene hinting at a sequel. It wouldn’t be far-fetched to assume Josh somehow survives and becomes the main antagonist of a potential sequel.
