Tratchenberg passed away aged 39 earlier this year in February after shooting to fame as kid. The actress starred in Harriet, The Spy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and other 90s classics.
While working with Meester, she played the recurring role of Georgina Sparks on the 00s teen drama about privileged New Yorkers. Her co-stars also included Blake Lively, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick.

Reflecting on her friend’s tragic passing, the Monte Carlo star mused it was extra hard because of the sobering fact they were the same age.
“It’s devastating,” Meester told Flaunt magazine. “She was a wonderful, talented person, and everyone loved her. It’s very, very sad for everyone who knew her.”
“Now, I can see that [the show’s legacy] continues — in some ways, even more so than back then — to live on, which is incredible,” she added.
Tratchenberg’s cause of death was officially ruled to be of natural causes and due to complications from diabetes mellitus
How long did Leighton Meester star with Michelle Trachtenberg on Gossip Girl?
The CW show ran from 2007 to 2012. Meester played prim and proper Queen B Blair Waldorf, while Trachtenberg played bad girl Georgina Sparks.
Trachtenberg was a recurring role who popped up about once a season to cause havoc to the Upper East Side gang.

Bagley, who played Brooklyn-based outsider, called her passing “really surreal, very saddening” to E! News.
“What I remember of her is she was incredibly quick to laugh,” he continued in April, “She was really joyous. We all have our ups and downs, our lights and shadows, but she had this—I mean, she was mature, but she had this childlike, joyous laugh.”

On her Instagram Story, Lively – who played Serena van der Woodsen – praised the late actress, writing, “She was electricity. You knew when she entered a room because the vibration changed. Everything she did, she did 200 per cent.”
