- The Oasis frontman has broken his silence after the ‘dynamic pricing’ ticket controversy
- Fans were not happy with Gallagher’s response
- Two more Wembley shows have been added to Oasis’ 2025 reunion tour
He may be riding high off the phenomenal response to Oasis’ reunion last week, but Liam Gallagher still has no time for fans who remain unhappy over the ‘dynamic pricing’ scandal that overshadowed a monumentally successful few days for the newly reunited Gallagher brothers.
Thousands of fans were left outraged by Ticketmaster’s ‘dynamic pricing’ system, which inflated the price of standard tickets when most had already sold out. This is despite the band stating on their official social media channels that any tickets being resold for an overinflated price would be cancelled and unable to be used to enter any of the gigs across the UK and Ireland next summer.
Ticketmaster and Twickets were supposed to be the band’s official resale partners for the tour, with face value mentioned in the messaging on the posts. However, standing tickets for the concerts at Manchester’s Heaton Park suddenly increased by over £200, from £148 to £360 in some cases, severely contradicting what the band had initially said about ticket touting.
On Friday morning, Gallagher took to X for the first time since the ticket sale to say, “OASIS are back your welcome and I hear there ATTITUDE STINKS good to know something’s never change LFUCKING x”
Some fans were, understandably, not best pleased with Gallagher’s post, which didn’t seem to offer any sort of apology towards the thousands who were left with the choice of either paying hundreds of pounds above face value or missing out on tickets altogether, after waiting 15 years for Oasis to reunite.
And Gallagher had a blunt response to one fan who replied in reference to the ticket prices.
The Gallaghers are expected to announce further tour dates in Europe and North America in the coming weeks.
