Is it a bird, is it a plane… no, it’s the brand new trailer for James Gunn’s Superman.
The Suicide Squad director unveiled our latest look at his newly revamped look at DC’s heroic Man of Steel on Wednesday 14 May. Following a Krypto-heavy first look released earlier this year, this new trailer sees Rachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane grilling David Corenswet’s Clark Kent in a tough interview.

Kent is put under fire by Lane as he’s asked to defend his actions, despite the fact they’ve saved lives and led to the world avoiding a war.
Elsewhere, we see Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor stewing over Superman’s arrival and subsequent rise to popularity. Calling the Kyrptonian an “It”, it’s clear that he doesn’t view Earth’s strongest hero as anything close to human.

The new trailer also gives us a better look at Clark’s small-town family life, with his father Jonathan (Pruitt Taylor Vince) and mother Martha (Neva Howell) guiding their adoptive son on his path.

Who is starring in James’s Gunn’s Superman?

As mentioned above, leading the way is Twisters actor Corenswet as our new Clark Kent AKA Superman.
As the last son of Krypton, he’ll be joined by The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s Rachel Brosnahan as intrepid Daily Planet reporter Louis Lane.
When it comes to the movie’s big-bads, Gunn has enlisted the help of Mad Max: Fury Road star Hoult as hairless hero-hater Lex Luthor.
Plus, this new trailer reveals new villain The Hammer of Boravia although the actor behind this role is currently unknown.
A world of new heroes

Elsewhere, Gunn’s new film promises to introduce us to a world full of heroes.
These include Edi Gathegi’s Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan’s Metamorpho, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl and Gunn regular Nathan Fillion as a Green Lantern known as Guy Gardner.
