Iconic French fashion brand Louis Vuitton has made the dreams of a 13-year-old boy come true by offering him an internship after his drawings went viral.

It all started when the boy, known only as Milan, drew some impressive sketches in his spare time including his take on what a future Louis Vuitton sneaker could look like. He also sketched books of hoodies, heels and more with a level of skills and accuracy beyond his years. His proud mother posted images of some of his drawings on X (formerly Twitter) in November, where they started to go viral.

Through X the post came to the attention of Marie Gentric, a journalist at local news outlet BFMTV. Gentric was impressed by Milan’s work and posted about him and looped Louis Vuitton into the conversation. It had the desired effect – with the luxury fashion house reportedly offering the talented teen an internship.

Milan has said the experience of going viral and getting attention for his artwork has been “magical” – although Gentric says he is the magical one. But it also shows how social media can be a force for good and help dreams to come true – if it is backed up by genuine talent.

Whether this is the start of a brilliant career for Milan remains to be seen. Still, he may well look to emulate the likes of Pharrell, who was named men’s creative director at Louis Vuitton and released his inaugural collection in 2023.

Louis Vuitton has been one of the biggest fashion brands in the world for many years and was one of the most searched for brands on eBay last year.
