We’re coming to the end of the year.

And with spooky season well and truly over, the winter festivities are about to hit us in full force.

Which can only mean one thing… Mariah Carey has officially defrosted in time for Christmas!

While the singer, 55, had to tell excited fans to cool it last month, she announced that she’s now ready to embrace the festive season in a funny video.

Dressed in a Morticia Adams-esque costume, Carey starts off the skit by dancing with a male partner.

But as the video progresses, a wardrobe opens… to reveal a red Mrs Claus outfit.

“It’s time!” sings Carey.

As her dance partner transforms into a snowman, the songstress begins to belt out her 1994 hit, All I Want for Christmas Is You.

‘When Mariah says it’s time, it’s time!’

Fans were thrilled by Carey’s post – as the video racked up 375k likes on Twitter/X. The sketch was equally as popular on TikTok, amassing 19.7 million views and 4.5 million likes.

“WHEN MARIAH SAYS IT’S TIME, IT’S TIME,” screeched one fan, while another agreed, “The Queen of Christmas has SPOKEN.”

Someone else added, “NOW I CAN LISTEN TO CHRISTMAS MUSIC.”

Some noted that both the production value and Carey’s vocals had gone up to celebrate the song’s 30th anniversary.

“Is it just me or is the ‘it’s time’ getting higher every year?” queried one, while another asked, “The budget increases each year.”

Not everyone was as enthusiastic about Carey announcing the start of the festive season.

“Bruh can’t this just wait till December,” moaned one.

But for every negative tweet, there seemed to be ten in support of the singer. “Don’t ever stop doing these!” encouraged another.

“NO WAY, Miss Carey, do you wait all year for this specific moment,” asked one. Another branded the star the Queen of Christmas, and added, “This woman will always be associated with Christmas and I’m here for it.”
