- Mark Carney caught “dad dancing” to Down With Webster
- The Liberal leader was celebrating the Canadian election results
- The Prime Minister was previously the Governor of the Bank of England

Mark Carney was nabbed ‘Dad dancing’ to Down With Webster as a part of celebrating his victory in the Canadian election.
The Liberal leader took over from the former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. His Liberal party was expected to lose in Canada’s general election but the party got a surge in popularity. Many attribute the boost to President Trump’s tariffs, which would have almost certainly bankrupted large swathes of the nation’s businesses and manufacturing industry.
In his victory speech, Carney expressed his ire for the American federal government’s attacks on Canadian-produced goods, saying that the Commander-in-Chief wanted to “break us, so that America can own us”, adding: “That will never, ever happen”.
The former Governor of the Bank of England continued, “We are over the shock over American betrayal. But we will never forget the lessons.”

Another person called Carney’s moves and general party demeanour “aggressively Canadian”, probably meaning appearing vaguely wholesome and a bit awkward.
