Marvel Rivals Season 1 is all set to hit the shelves; the “Eternal Night Falls” is launching on January 10, 2025.

Season 1: Launch and New Heroes

Marvel Rivals released a YouTube video in which the developer offered the insights. This most awaited season will bring tons of updates, a sweet treat for players— New heroes, maps, modes, and the list goes on.

As part of the exciting new content for Season 1, Marvel Rivals is introducing two remarkable heroes belonging to the Fantastic Four: Mister Fantastic and The Invisible Woman.

Players can lay hands on these characters right after the launch to have a new and dynamic experience during combat. The notable aspect of these characters is that Mister Fantastic will be a duelist while the latter one will be a strategist.

Moreover, In about six weeks, The Thing and Human Torch will join the roster, completing the iconic team of Fantastic Four. Here, Human Torch is going to be a Duelist, while Thing will be a Vanguard, yet these details still need to be revealed fully.

New Maps and Battle Pass

The fun doesn’t stop here. There will be the addition of three new maps: Sanctum Sanctorum, Midtown, and Central Park, and the new mode will be Doom Match. The Battle Pass is going to be a treasure box of new skins, including Legendary skins for Loki, Wolverine, and Scarlet Witch (vampire-themed).

Regarding the Battle Pass details, it will cost 990 Lattice (10$ estimated), but what players need to know is as they progress through the pass, they will attain rewards and earn 600 Lattice and 600 Units in return.          

The developers are paying close attention to player feedback and have confirmed several nerfs and buffs for characters. Hawkeye and Hela will be getting nerfed; in contrast, Wolverine and Storm, Venom, and Captain America will get stronger. There is also a new feature update: a system to help track when Jeff is about to use his Ultimate move.

About the ranked play, the ranks will be reset as soon as the new season begins, and there will be a new rank, named Celestial, will be introduced between Grandmaster and Eternity. Additionally, the insights regarding pick rates and win rates will be shared with players.

For now, this is just an initial update for Season 1; players can expect more to come as developers are dedicatedly bringing new content since the game’s launch, raising hopes of fans regarding more exceptional updates in 2025.
