Maya Hawke is joining the cast of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on The Reaping.

The Stranger Things star has signed on the dotted line to join the follow-up movie adapted from the world created by Suzanne Collins in the Young Adult novels, according to Deadline.

She will be playing Wiress, a former Hunger Games victor but has shifted to be a District 12 mentor. The announcement also included the casting of Kelvin Harrison Jr. He is playing Beetee.

Other names already attached to feature in the movie include Joseph Zada, Whitney Peak, McKenna Grace and Jesse Plemons.

The film’s source material was only published in March.

Social media was full of all sorts of positive praise for both Hawke and Harrison’s casting in the flick.

“They’re assembling a killer lineup—this is how you build hype,” some wrote.
