Rapper Megan Thee Stallion broke a golden rule at the 2025 Met Gala: No phones. The rapper, 30, went viral after she posted footage from the event on her social media with other celebrities.

Anna Wintour’s Met Gala is one of the most star-studded nights in fashion every year. This year’s theme was Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, which celebrated black designers, tailored outfits, and black dandyism. While Meg was not quite on theme, she stunned in a custom-made Michael Kors sparkly silver dress with a white fur coat on top.

People know the Met Gala for its secrecy, so the Grammy Award winner using her phone inside is a brave move.

One move like that and you can be disinvited for life! However, she did not care, as the rapper gallivanted around the event, phone in hand.

In a video dubbed the Hottie Cam by the rapper, she shared a food review with rapper Doechii, 26, inside the event.

“Cornbread and caviar,” she tells her fans as she takes a small bite of the tiny canapé.

“I like it,” Doechii says as the rapper adds, “I said it was good, she didn’t believe me”. Then she points at basketball player Angel Reese, 23, next to her.

The ladies went on to try more luxury food, including curry chicken bites and white truffle lobster rolls. Casual rich people’s food.

Megan and the girls continue to try to give verdicts on the different food, giving fans an inside look at the Met Gala.

“We’re not supposed to have our phones,” Meg says

Later in the more chaotic part of the video, the rapper declares, “We’re not supposed to have our phones,” as she hangs out with Doja Cat, 29, and Tracy Ellis Ross, 52. “But we’re doing it, haha,” she cheekily says.

In another clip, the rapper is sitting with Wicked star Cynthia Erivo, 37, as she tells her followers, “I snuck the phone inside” a few times.

Girl, are you trying to get banned?

The rest of the video consists of the 30-year-old hyping up other celebrities, rounds of cheers, and enjoying the night.

We love the vibes here.
