- PC gamers can access Xbox Game Pass quests starting January 7
- Age limit set at 18+ for rewards, with parental approval for minors
- New quests offer daily, weekly, and monthly rewards for points

Microsoft has shared a new strategy for the Xbox Game Pass rewards system, bringing updates and reward limitations based on age, aiming to redefine the gaming experience.
From Exclusive to Inclusive
PC gamers can now gear up as they can now take part in Quests, starting from January 7, 2025. What makes it quite special is that the access to quests was only available to Xbox Game Pass players.
This change will offer more opportunities for PC users to earn points, which can then be used to attain prizes like gift cards. Moreover, Microsoft has introduced an age limit: players who are 18 or above are only eligible for these quests and rewards, excluding younger players from accessing these new features.
If players below 18 want to lay hands on these, then they will only be able to get points through the purchases approved by their parents.
Expanded Rewards for PC Game Pass Users
Here is the detailed expansion of rewards shared by Microsoft:
- Daily Play – Earn 10 points a day by playing any game from the Game Pass catalog for at least 15 minutes.
- Weekly Streaks – Play for at least five days a week to complete your streak. The more days you play, the more points you earn. Now comes the challenge: maintain your streak week over week to unlock bigger point multipliers. A 2-week streak will earn 2x the base streak points, a 3-week streak will earn 3x the base streak points, and anything beyond a 4-week streak will earn 4x the base streak points.
- Monthly 4-Pack – Explore the Game Pass catalog by playing four different games (for at least 15 minutes each) every month.
- Monthly 8-Pack – Push your gaming further and play eight different games (for at least 15 minutes each) every calendar month. Don’t worry; the 4 games from your 4-Pack count towards the 8-Pack, too.
Players can conveniently manage, redeem, and track the rewards through the Rewards Hub on the Xbox console, the Xbox app for Windows PC, and the Xbox app for mobile (if only the user is 18+).
These updates highlight Microsoft’s concern and responsibility towards shaping its platform into a positive and safe space for gamers, and the inclusion of PC Game Pass expands the rewards system’s accessibility.
