- Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt team up for epic new sci-fi
- Avengers directors The Russo Brothers at the helm
- The Electric State hits Netflix in 2025

First-look images for Netflix thriller The Electric State are now online, marking the latest movie role for Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown.
Set for release at some point in 2025, the project will pair Brown alongside Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt.
Described as a futuristic sci-fi thriller, The Electric State will be directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, the same duo behind Marvel megahits Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: End Game.
While a trailer remains MIA, the streamer’s newly-released images show Brown in nostalgic ’90s clothing and Pratt with shaggy hair and a handlebar moustache.
These unique costume choices fit into the wider world of the movie which will transport viewers into a dystopian alternate version of the 1990s where artificial intelligence and robots are commonplace.

According to the movie’s official synopsis, Brown will play an orphaned teenager named Michelle who exists in a world where “sentient robots resembling cartoons and mascots, who once served peacefully among humans, now live in exile following a failed uprising.”
Meanwhile, Pratt will play Keats, a “low-rent smuggler” with a “wise-cracking robot sidekick” who Michelle must team up with in order to navigate a dangerous “exclusion zone” controlled by rogue bots.
Here “Keats and Michelle find a strange, colourful group of new animatronic allies – and begin to learn that the forces behind Christopher’s disappearance are more sinister than they ever expected.”
