February is a blockbuster month for movies, with the return of a beloved franchise and a new adaptation of a classic novel, and many others to be excited about.

January is finally over, another payday has finally arrived, so if you are looking for something to do in the coming weeks, then there is plenty to choose from at your local movie theater.
February is an exciting month for movies, with several hugely anticipated productions hitting our screens in a range of genres from horror to classic drama to comedy.
So what are the movies that we are most excited about in February? Here’s our top choices.
Scream 7
The horror franchise that shows no sign of dying is back for a seventh outing and this time, the makers have gone back to basics. Neve Campbell is back as Sydney Prescott, who is never far from a psychopathic killer. With the original writer back on board, Scream 7 promises to go back to what made the movies so fun in the first place – as well as bringing back a load of characters presumed dead for 20+ years in some cases. How will they do it? You can find out on February 27.
Wuthering Heights
Emerald Fennell’s take on the classic English gothic novel by Emily Bronte, Wuthering Heights has gained a lot of attention, partly because it stars Margo Robbie as Cathy and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff. It is said to be loosely based on the famous book – although it was filmed in Yorkshire, where the novel is set – but those who know Emerald’s other work will know to expect the unexpected with this adaptation. It drops in theaters on February 13, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
GOAT
This animated movie follows the story of a young goat called Will Harris who wants to be, well, the GOAT (greatest of all time, as if you didn’t know what it stands for) at a game called roarball, which looks remarkably like basketball. The action comedy, set in an all animal world, follows Will’s shot at overcoming the odds (he’s a bit short for a roarball player) and becoming a professional. The ensemble voice cast includes Caleb McLaughlin, Jennifer Hudson and Stephen Curry.
Solo Mio
February might be the month of love, but filmmakers love to mess with the romantic comedy drama template, and so we have Solo Mio. Kevin James stars as Matt, a man whose dreams of a picturesque wedding in Italy are shattered when his fiancé leaves him at the altar. Heartbroken, Matt decides to go on his honeymoon anyway, but alone, and throws himself into Italy’s culture, food and history. It is released on February 6.
Crime 101
Crime thriller Crime 101 has a stacked cast, including bringing a couple of Marvel alumni back together. Chris Hemsworth stars as notorious jewel thief Mike Davis, whose jewel heists along the 101 freeway have left the police baffled. Mark Ruffalo is Det. Lou Lubesnick, who is on Mike’s case and reckons he has cracked his pattern. Adding to the stacked cast, Halle Berry is insurance broker Sharon Colvin, who intersects with Mike’s plans for a huge heist. This is another movie dropping on February 13.
Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t DIe
For something a little more off-beat, but also very much on trend, try Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die. This dark sci-fi comedy follows the adventures of a man from the future who travels back in time to try and stop a rogue artificial intelligence. To help him, the engages the support of patrons of an LA diner. As you do. Sam Rockwell stars in this one, which is also out on February 13.
