- The show will be aimed at pre-school audiences
- Show will feature young versions of Iron Man, Ironheart and Iron Hulk
- Iron Man and his Awesome friends is set to debut in summer 2025

Iron Man is now one of the most iconic superheroes and a new generation will be introduced to the character thanks to a new Disney animated show.
Awesome news
Iron Man and His Awesome Friends has been greenlit by Disney Jr and is now in production. The show is scheduled to be released next summer on Disney Jr and Disney+.
The show will feature a child Tony Stark/Iron Man, alongside his friends Riri Williams/Ironheart and Amadeus Cho (Iron Hulk). The super friends will work together to protect their home city from a range of threats.
The official logline adds that each character has their own Iron Suit that enables them to fly and gives them super-strength. Each character also has their own special equipment – Iron Man has a Nano-Shield, Ironheart has a Heartbeat Buble forcefield, and Iron Hulk has the Iron Boom clap and Iron Hulk Stomp.
The three friends are helped by the android Vision, who operates from their beachfront Iron Quarters (IQ), and puppy Gamma, who has her own Iron Pup suit and gets to go on adventures too.
Mason Blomberg will provide Tony Stark/Iron Man’s voice. Kapri Ladd will voice Riri Williams/Ironheart and Aidyn Ahn will voice Amadeus Cho/Iron Hulk. David Kaye will be Vision.
It should be noted the show is not a spinoff from Spidey and his Amazing Friends – another animated show aimed at small children – which also features a version of Tony Stark/Iron Man.
Return
Of course, in the MCU, Iron Man was – I don’t think we need to do a spoiler alert here? – killed off at the end of Avengers: Endgame. But Robert Downey Jr, who played Iron Man, is returning to the MCU in the next Avengers film, Avengers: Doomsday. When this was announced, the internet responded in the best way possible – with jokes.
