- Lady Gaga collaborated with Bruno Mars for ‘Die With a Smile’
- Gaga has just been named one of the headliners for Coachella 2025
- Collab with Bruno Mars has earned two Grammy nominations
Lady Gaga is having herself a week. First, there was the announcement that the Bad Romance star would be headlining both Fridays of next year’s Coachella festival. Then, less than a day later, big Stef reveals that, with the help of Bruno Mars, she’s just casually smashed a streaming record too.
The dynamic duo only released ‘Die With a Smile’ in August, but it has already becoming the fastest song in history to reach a billion streams on Spotify.
‘Die With a Smile’ spent eight weeks atop the Billboard Global 200 and reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100, while earning Gaga and Mars a pair of Grammy nominations, for Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo.
Clearly hyped about the record breaking news, Gaga took to Instagram to celebrate with her 57.6 million followers.
In a post that has already received over 1.1 million likes, Gaga wrote, “Die with A Smile is officially the FASTEST SONG in HISTORY to reach 1 BILLION STREAMS on Spotify. I will completely cherish this moment. I’m so grateful to monsters and hooligans and so many people all over the world who fell in love with our song I feel so lucky.”
The official video for the song hasn’t been faring too badly, either. At the time of writing it has been watched 317 million times on YouTube and has been liked 4.8 million times on the platform.
So that’s Grammy nominations, a Coachella headline slot and a Spotify streaming record in the last three weeks. Yep, not a bad month to be Lady Gaga.
