  • Gallagher brothers set to confirm reunion on Tuesday, August 27
  • Liam Gallagher hinted at reunion on X
  • Noel Gallagher shares teaser for announcement on 27.08.24 at 8am

After 15 years apart, the Gallagher brothers are set to bury the hatchet and bring Oasis back together for a massive series of shows in 2025.

Liam and Noel famously parted ways after a backstage bust up at the Rock En Seine festival in Paris, in 2009. Since then rumours have swirled about a reunion, especially around notable anniversaries of their first two albums, ‘Definitely Maybe’ and ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’

Earlier this week, reports began to emanate of the brothers finally settling their 15 year long feud ahead of a huge reunion tour in 2025.

Liam appeared to confirm the rumours by posting on X, “Listen it’s Saturday morning you lot are scaring me with all this fucking talk of Tuesday can we not just enjoy 1 day at fucking time Rastas.”

The stories around potential shows at London’s Wembley Stadium and Heaton Park, in the Gallagher’s hometown of Manchester, continued to swirl all weekend, until both Liam and Noel took to their respective social media accounts to post not-so-cryptic teasers about an announcement on August 27 at 8am UK time.

The teases have, unsurprisingly, sent Oasis fans into meltdown, having waited well over a decade for the Gallagher brothers to reunite. Next year will mark 30 years since the release of ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’, widely considered to be one of the greatest and most influential albums in British music history.

Since that fateful night in Paris in the summer of 2009, Liam has released two albums with Beady Eye as well as three solo records and a collaborative album with former Stone Roses guitarist John Squire. Noel, meanwhile, formed Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds soon after leaving Oasis and has released four albums with the band since 2011.
