It’s the collaboration no one saw coming.
But pop fans could be in for a treat – as Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo are rumored to be working on a song together!
According to online sources, the former Disney stars – who have been ‘feuding’ for years – will release a track together.
“If this is true this song will break the internet,” one fan wrote on Twitter/X, while another added, “Wait who texted who first I need to know these kinds of deets.”
“Working it out on the remix but make it Gen Z,” another fan continued, referencing Charli XCX and Lorde’s new remix of The Girl, So Confusing.
The rift between Carpenter, 25, and Rodrigo, 21, has been ongoing since the latter released her debut hit single, Driver’s Licence.
While it’s never been revealed who the song is about, many fans speculated Rodrigo was writing about her then-boyfriend and fellow High School Musical star, Joshua Bassett.
Although the relationship was never official, it’s widely thought that the pair dated for around a year until July 2020 – when Bassett was seen hanging out with Carpenter.
After Rodrigo’s track dropped on January 8 2021, Carpenter – who is now dating Saltburn actor Barry Keoghan – then went on to release her ‘diss track’, Skin, on January 22.
But hopefully the drama is now water under the bridge, as we’d love to see a collab between the pair!

Elsewhere, Carpenter delighted fans by announcing a tour – but they were shocked by the price of tickets.
Followers of the Espresso star took to social media to complain about the European leg of her Short n’ Sweet tour – which saw some tickets total almost £240 ($310).
“‘I’m working late’ because I’m trying to get Sabrina Carpenter uk tour tickets and Ticketmaster hates me and the price of these tickets are very expensive,” joked one fan.
Another said, “240 for Sabrina Carpenter nosebleeds is insane lol. She’s great but she’s had two hit singles. I paid about half that for Taylor Swift nosebleeds and felt it was still a bit too much but at least that’s a three hour show with 18 years of smash hits to cover.”
Rodrigo’s surprise announcement
Meanwhile, Rodrigo performed in Atlanta on July 24 – and made an announcement she will never forget.
As fans flocked to her Guts world tour, one pregnant attendee, called Savannah, had a plan up her sleeve – to get the Vampire singer to announce whether she was expecting a boy or a girl!
“Maybe my favorite thing to ever happen at a show, omg,” Rodrigo said when she was handed the envelope.
She then announced, “Savannah… You’re having a boy!
“I feel like I’m going to cry – I can’t believe I was part of that, congratulations! Sorry I’m keeping this [envelope] as a keepsake.”
