Ever wondered what your dog would look like as a human? Across the internet, people are finding out through the means of ChatGPT.

The new viral trend sees people asking ChatGPT to generate an image of what their dog would look like as a human. It even went beyond just canines and every kind of pet is getting their AI-generated transformation.

One clip, titled, “I asked ChatGPT to turn my dog into a human,” has racked up 1.9 million views on TikTok.

Some users have had some funny occurrences trying to generate the image. For example, the human version of the user’s dog below is wearing a version of a collar round his neck.

How can you join in with the trend?

It’s fairly simple. Users can log into ChatGPT and upload a high-quality photo of the animal they want to see anthropomorphised.

Underneath, you then need to write the prompt with the correct gender, ‘What would my male/female dog look like as a person?”

With a press of the arrow, ChatGPT will do its work and imagine your pet as a person.

What other AI trends have been doing the rounds?

This is just the most recent AI related trend circulating on the internet. It follows a similar trend where AI transforms internet users into dolls, complete with packaging and accessories.

Not long before that, there was also a trend where people turned images into Studio Ghibli-style artworks.

However, not everyone’s found this trend amusing. Concerns have been raised about data protection, while others have pointed to the huge environmental impact of using generative AI. It does prompt a question – is cuteness really worth the potential costs in terms of AI’s high energy expenditure?
