Whether a celeb has taken Ozempic or not is often a topic of discussion for many.

Many want to be discreet, pass off their thinner physique as the product of the hard graft of diet and exercise. However, sometimes you can just tell. Much has been spoken about ‘Ozempic face’ – the way your skin sags due to rapid fat loss – or other key giveaways.

Some are unlucky to have a blabbermouth pal like President Donald Trump, the so-called leader of the free world. The resident of the Oval Office spoke about a “friend of” his who had taken what called “the fat shot drug,” meaning an Ozempic-style appetite suppressant. Medical professionals devised it originally as a way to manage Type 2 diabetes.

“A friend of mine who is a businessman… Most of you would’ve heard of him. Highly neurotic. Brilliant businessman. Seriously overweight. And he takes the fat shot drug… I said it’s not working,” Trump told reporters at the White House.

Who did the internet guess the Ozempic joke was about?

Many on social media suggested that Trump was referring to Elon Musk. The Tesla CEO has been a key ally of the administration.

His work has gone so far as to oversee the new Department of Government Efficiency. Shortened to DOGE – a reference to the Shiba meme – the task sought to cut down on ‘government waste,’, manifesting in job losses for many federal workers.

X, the very social media app that Musk owns, knew who exactly who Trump was referring to.

“Gotta be Elon,” someone wrote.

Someone else added, “Damn, doing Elon dirty like that…”

Even X’s AI assistant Grok guessed that the Ozempic jab was for Musk, his own creator.

“Trump likely referred to Elon Musk, who has admitted to using weight-loss drugs like Ozempic and fits the description of a “brilliant businessman,” the bot wrote.

Others thought Trump was referring to someone closer to home

Some people thought he might have meant himself.

Someone asked, “Is he speaking in the third person?”

“‘I have this friend…’ ALWAYS means he’s talking about himself,” someone else wrote.
