- More than 25% of the names on the list are under 35 years of age

The brothers behind the game developer that brought the world games such as Township have been named as the richest people in the gaming sector in the UK.
Millions and billions
The first Sunday Times Gaming Rich List named the top 30 people in the gaming sector by wealth and brothers Igor and Dmitry Bukhman came out on top, with a combined fortune of $16.2 billion.
The brothers were well ahead of the person who came second on the list, Herman Nerula of Improbable, who’s fortune is said to be just over $1 billion.
Nerula was also well ahead of the third name on the list, Riccardo Zacconi of King, who’s wealth stands at $531.2 million.
Another sibling duo, Dan and Sam Houser, who co-founded Rockstar Games, placed fourth with a combined wealth of $453.4 million.
More than 25% of the people on the list are aged under 35, with the average age being 45. But only three women made the list, with Wendy Irvin-Braben from Frontier Developments being the highest placed at number 10. Alongside her husband David, they have a combined wealth of $226.7 million.
YouTuber success
YouTubers also made the top 30 list. KSI – real name Olajide Olatunji – along with the other six members of the Sidemen collective, who have millions of subscribers to their channels, placed 21st with a combined wealth of $64.7 million.
Swedish gamer PewDiePie – aka Felix Kjellberg – who has several companies based in the UK, came 25th with a wealth of $58.3 million.
The list shows the strength of the UK gaming sector and how much those who are successful can make.
