It’s been a bumper year for Sabrina Carpenter.
While the singer, 25, has been in showbiz since she was a child and has released five studio albums in the past, her sixth record, Short n’ Sweet, has seen her hurtle to superstardom this summer.
With a string of hits – such as Taste, Please Please Please and Espresso, which dominated the charts over the summer – under her belt, Carpenter has received recognition from several awards shows for her songs.
Carpenter also embarked on her first arena tour in support of her album.

Labelled Billboard’s “number one global song of the summer”, it was the Brits who really fell in love with Espresso.
Released on April 11, it reached the number one spot in the UK charts in its third week and remained there for five weeks… only to be knocked off the top spot by her own song, Please Please Please.
The track returned to the top spot for two weeks, starting on July 12.
Espresso was Carpenter’s first number one song in the UK and her fourth top 40 hit there.

But Espresso wasn’t the only thing

Carpenter is known for her humor – so it was a surprise to nobody that Netflix decided to give her her own holiday special!
With special guests including Shania Twain and Chappell Roan, in A Nonsense Christmas, Carpenter performed a string of her own songs, as well as Christmas covers and comedy skits with special guests.
And her fans loved it – with 2.6 million viewers tuning in during its debut weekend on December 6.

While Carpenter has been releasing albums for almost 10 years, Short n’ Sweet has been the record to really put her on the map.
So much so that the artist actually received her first ever Grammy nominations.
Ahead of the 2025 ceremony, it was announced that Carpenter was in the running to win Album of the Year, Best New Artist, and Song of the Year for her track, Please Please Please.
She is also up for Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, and the coveted Record of the Year gong for her hit song, Espresso.

As mentioned, fans went wild for Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet.
The album has gone 2x Platinum – but the celebrations didn’t stop there.
Espresso received a 5x Platinum status, with Please Please Please and Taste close behind, going 3x and 2x Platinum, respectively.
Bed Chem was also announced as a Platinum single, while Confidence, Juno and Sharpest Tool all received Gold status. Phew!

Since its release, Espresso has racked up a whopping 1.6 billion streams on Spotify.
Not only is this seriously impressive, but it also means that Carpenter has bagged herself another accolade – as it made the track the the most-streamed song of 2024 globally.

The Grammys weren’t the only awards show to recognize Carpenter.
The singer was also the recipient of the coveted Song of the Year award at the MTV Video Music Award, thanks once more to Espresso.
The win marked Carpenter’s first VMA trophy.

The Short n’ Sweet Tour is Carpenter’s first ever arena tour – and she has already played 33 dates across North America.
