Online buzz about Severance has grown in recent weeks as new episodes arrive. With the show poised to show promise in the upcoming TV awards season fans have been left wondering whether the show will be renewed for more episodes.
While the question is still largely up the air, Stiller has provided some updates – and they sound positive.
What has Ben Stiller said about Severance season 3?

Speaking ahead of Severance season 2’s final episode, Stiller has said that writing has already begun on a third season.
Despite this, the show has yet to officially get the green light from Apple TV+.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in February, Stiller said “there is a writers room underway in L.A.,” when asked about the status of more episodes.
He added that “he hopes not to keep audiences waiting three years,” making reference to the extended time gap that took place between the show’s first and second seasons.
“Keep going as long as it’s succesful”

This news backs up previous statements made by the star regarding the show’s longevity. According to Stiller, Severance could go on for a long while – as long as people are into it.
“You have a responsibility to the audience that you’re going somewhere with it,” Stiller told Collider in November 2024.
“That’s always been a part of it for us, really understanding where it’s heading to, and Apple’s been really supportive of that and been sensitive to what the story is and not saying, ‘Okay, this is something that has to keep going as long as it’s successful.’
“It should go as long as the story goes, and that’s something we have an idea of, and we’re working towards as we’re starting up our Season 3 work.”
