Players gear up to dive in another co-op adventure game—Split Fiction has officially gone gold!, hinting that the major development has been completed and it will be released on the set date: March 6, 2025.
A New Co-Op Adventure
Split Fiction is crafted by the renowned Hazelight Studio who is behind the award winning game— It Takes Two, allows players to play with their friends or partners which ultimately enhances the fun and gaming experience.
The studio first hinted about the game in October 2024, then officially unvieled it during the Games Awards Show 2024. Its going to like a sweet treat for those who loved It Takes Two as it is also going to use the same approach: two person gameplay, focusing on teamwork.
Furthermore, it follows a split-screen format, also hinted in an image dropped on X. Split Fiction apart is its blend of sci-fi and fantasy— the story of two characters: Mio and Zoe, both are writers but have their own styles, former one is more into penning down sci-fi while latter one loves fantasy writing.
However, both come across each other when they get trapped inside a high-tech simulation. From futuristic cities to magical landscapes filled with dragons and giants, the game delivers a unique and immersive experience.
Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Cross-Play—What to Expect
The game is more than playing with your teammate, it is full of action, puzzles, and anything that takes players on the ultimate level of fantasy. Players will also be able to raise dragons, which sounds pretty mesmerizing.
One of the most praiseworthy features is the Friend Pass, similar to the previous game. This pass offers an amazing deal: only one player have to buy the game while their friend can play for free of cost.
Additionally, Hazelight has confirmed that the game will support cross-play between PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, ensuring that players on different platforms can team up seamlessly.
As the game has gone gold, everything seems to be going perfectly without any hinderences and delays. The game will be available on **PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store, and EA App).
However, the Nintendo Switch users haven’t got any confirmation regarding the game’s launch on their platform. But there is a ray of hope, last time It Takes Two arrived on Nintendo after a year, so now fans are expecting same in case of Split Fiction.
