Spotify Wrapped 2024 has finally arrived, with fans across the globe taking to social media to share their weird music tastes with the world.
After a lengthy delay, 2024’s edition arrived on Wednesday 4 December, just as some observant Reddit detectives assumed it might.

Billed by the streamer as a “personalized experience”, Wrapped lets users know all the facts about what their most streamed artists, songs, albums, podcasts and audiobooks were over the past 12 months.
However, personal observations aside, it also revealed some interesting insight into what the world was listening to globally throughout 2024. Like the personalised data, this also includes details on which artist, albums and songs the world was obsessed with over the past year.

Who was the most streamed artist globally in Spotify Wrapped 2024?

It may come as little surprise to discover that Taylor Swift was the most streamed artist globally throughout 2024. This made her Spotify’s top global artist for the second year running.
In the past 12 months, Swifties clocked up over 26.6 billion streams of her tracks. The singer was followed up by The Weeknd, Bad Bunny, Drake and Billy Eilish in second, third, fourth and fifth place respectively.
What was the most streamed track globally in Spotify Wrapped 2024?

Meanwhile, the most streamed song globally for 2024 was Sabrina Carpenter’s Espresso which gathered more than 1.6 billion streams.
Benson Boon’s Lose Control was a close second followed by Eilish’s Birds of a Feather in third.

When it comes to most viral songs, it was Bruno Mars’ and Lady Gaga’s Die With A Smile that emerged as the most socially shared track of the year, with users spreading Spotify links across other platforms.
What was the most streamed podcast of the year globally?

This year’s Wrapped revealed that over half a billion people have been listening to podcasts on Spotify since the platform embraced the medium back in 2019.
It also told us that the world was addicted to The Joe Rogan Experience, with the fight commentator’s regular show nabbing the top spot for the fifth year running.
The second spot was taken by the Call Her Daddy podcast, with Huberman Lab coming in third place.
