For many, 6 November is Election Day but for those addicted to the Upside Down, that date is Stranger Things Day – and to celebrate, Netflix has released episode title details of its fifth and final season.
Commemorating the date that poor Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) was abruptly sent into the eerie Upside Down during the show’s first season in 2016, the date has since been celebrated annually by fans across the globe.

The show usually gets in on the action too by releasing key behind-the-scenes information about this hugely popular Netflix hit.
The streamer has done exactly that for Stranger Things Day 2026, revealing the titles for all eight episodes of the show’s final outing.
That said, the second half of season five’s second episode was mysteriously blurred out – leaving fans pondering who it might be referring to.
Besides this omission, Netflix has revealed titles for all of its remaining episodes, with shows named The Crawl, The Vanishing of [blurred out], The Turnbow Trap, Scorcher, Shock Jock, Escape from Camazotz, The Bridge and Rightside Up.
Episode one, The Crawl, was previously announced by the show’s writers during Stranger Things Day 2023.
The teaser also revealed when the show will be set. Despite some outlets believing the show could be set in the early 1990s, Stranger Things season five will take place during fall 1987.
When is Stranger Things season 5 released?

Stranger Things season five doesn’t currently have a release date but we know it will make its way onto Netflix at some point in 2025.
Production for the show’s final outing is reported to be nearing its end, with The Shawshank Redemption filmmaker Frank Darabont coming out of early retirement to helm a handful of its episodes.
While plot details remain under wraps, its stars have hinted that the show’s final adventure could be its most emotional yet. Series creators Matt and Ross Duffer said that their initial pitch left some executives in tears.
“Such a great season”
“We pitched it to Netflix and they really responded well to it,” explained Ross. “I mean, it was hard. It’s the end of the story. I saw executives crying who I’ve never seen cry before and it was wild.”
These emotional beats were mirrored in comments made by series star David Harbour who plays gruff cop Jim Hopper.
“The end of this episode when we were reading it, just us reading it, about halfway through, people started crying,” Harbour told the Happy Sad Confused podcast earlier this year, “then about the last 20 minutes, it was just uncontrollably crying, waves of different people.”
He concluded by calling Stranger Things season five “such a great season” and that fans will “love it.”
