- Swift and Lively are close friends
- The singer has been summoned to court in Lively and Justin Baldoni’s court battle
- A representative for Swift has spoken of her disapproval

Taylor Swift has been summoned to court by Justin Baldoni’s lawyers amid his legal battle with Blake Lively, but her team has criticised it.
Lively filed a complaint against Baldoni in December 2024 and his production studio Wayfayer, claiming he launched a smear campaign against her in the press and sexually assaulted her during the production of It Ends With Us.
Later, in January 2025, Baldoni filed a $400 million countersuit against Lively, refuting her allegations.

Now, Baldoni’s legal team has named Swift, a friend of Lively’s, as a witness. They allege that Swift was present when Lively and Baldoni were discussing a scene early in the film.
According to legal documents, Swift and Lively’s husband Ryan Reynolds allegedly pressured Baldoni accepting revisions of one particular scene that Lively proposed.
“Tabloid clickbait”

A representative of Swift‘s have denied Baldoni’s allegations, claiming she was never involved in the film beyond permitting the use of one of her songs. They added that she couldn’t have been present in the way Baldoni’s team allege because she was busy on the Eras tour.
“Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history,” they said.

“The connection Taylor had to this film was permitting the use of one song, ‘My Tears Ricochet,’” they added. “Given that her involvement was licensing a song for the film, which 19 other artists also did, this document subpoena is designed to use Taylor Swift’s name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case.”
Has Lively done anything similar?

In February, it was reported that Lively was seeking evidence to support her case. Some of the sources contacted include the PR consultant Jed Wallace, AT&T, T-Mobile and others.
The pair will kick off their legal proceedings before a judge in March 2026.
