- Taylor Swift has been named one of the richest women in music
- She joins the likes of Rihanna and Beyonce on the list
- Swift, who is a billionaire, is currently playing shows across the globe as part of her Eras tour

She’s one of the biggest names in the music industry.
And now Taylor Swift has become a billionaire – adding her name to the list of the most well-off women in the industry.
The 34-year-old joined the likes of Rihanna and Beyonce on the list.
But what is Swift’s estimated fortune, and how did she make her money? Read on to find out more…
What is Taylor Swift’s net worth?
Swift’s staggering net worth is an estimated $1.3 billion.
Unlike other musicians on the list, the singer is slightly different – as she is the first to have reached the milestone from her music alone.
Other artists, such as Rihanna, have reached their billionaire status by profiting hugely from their own brands and collaborations with beauty and fashion labels.
Touring profits
With five tours under her belt, and the latest in full swing, Swift has made more than $500 million from music royalties and touring.
The Eras tour, which she embarked upon in March last year, made an estimated $190 million after taxes from the first leg alone.
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie
As if that wasn’t enough, Swift added to those massive touring profits by releasing a movie.
Taylor Swift: The Eras tour was released in October 2023 – and in the first two weeks of screenings, the film raked in a whopping $35 million.
It became the highest-grossing concert movie in history.
Increased value of music catalog
Swift has dominated the charts since she first burst onto the music scene in WHEN – but it hasn’t always been smooth sailing.
Back in 2019, her first six albums were infamously purchased by Scooter Braun and eventually sold to Shamrock Capital for $300 million in 2020.
“This is my worst case scenario. This is what happens when you sign a deal at fifteen to someone for whom the term ‘loyalty’ is clearly just a contractual concept,” Swift wrote on Tumblr later that year. “Now Scooter has stripped me of my life’s work, that I wasn’t given an opportunity to buy. Essentially, my musical legacy is about to lie in the hands of someone who tried to dismantle it.”
At the time, Swift also parted ways with Big Machine Label Group to join Universal Music Group’s Republic Records, which gave the singer complete ownership over songwriting and the recordings.
“I’m ecstatic to announce that my musical home will be Republic Records and Universal Music Group,” Swift wrote on Instagram about the news. “Over the years, [UMG chief] Sir Lucian Grainge and [Republic chief] Monte Lipman have been such incredible partners. It’s so thrilling to me that they, and the UMG team, will be my label family moving forward. It’s also incredibly exciting to know that I’ll own all of my master recordings that I make from now on.”
Since switching labels, Swift has released four new albums, Lover, Folklore, Evermore, Midnights, and The Tortured Poets Department. She has also re-recorded Fearless (Taylor’s Version), Red (Taylor’s Version), Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and 1989 (Taylor’s Version).
The increasing value of her music catalog has earned her $500 million.
Influence on NFL
It’s not only the music industry that Swift has had a huge sway over.
Since she started dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce last year, Swift has made a huge monetary impact on the NFL.
From the attendance of her first game on September 24, to January 22, Swift created a brand value equivalent of $331.5 million for the Chiefs and the league, according to data from Apex Marketing Group.
