A teenager from Glasgow in Scotland no longer has to use pots and pans to practice his love of drumming – he now has his own full drum kit, all thanks to the team at Pubity.
James has a passion for drumming but was having to make do with a set of bongos supplemented by variously sized paint pots that he found around the house to practice on. Understandably, this set up wasn’t ideal and he was frustrated by this, so he sent a DM to Pubity’s Insta feed, asking him they could help him out and send him a real drum kit.
The Pubity team picked up on James’ plea and decided to put the decision about whether to grant James’ request out to a public vote.
A poll was sent out to Pubity’s 37 million Instagram followers, and the result was overwhelmingly in favour of the teen. A whopping 95% said Pubity should get down to the cashpoint and then head over to the nearest music shop to buy a drum kit.
So, it being the will of the people, the team did just that. Then, with the drum kit acquired – the full works with bass drum, cymbals etc – some of the Pubity team, including Kit Chilvers, CEO of Pubity Group, jumped on a plane to Glasgow and delivered it personally to James at his home. As you can see from the picture, James is delighted with his new kit and is now practising hard.
But while James is ecstatic, what his family think isn’t on record – but their lives are certainly going to be a lot louder from now on!
It just goes to show what can happen when you ask and that dreams can come true!
