After almost four years, it finally returned to our screens on Sunday evening (June 16). 

And just as with season one and its prequel Game of Thrones, the second series of House of the Dragon did not disappoint.

The show – which stars actors including Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke – aired on HBO, and is based on the George R. R. Martin novel, Fire & Blood. 

Of course, Twitter/X had quite a lot to say about the season two premiere – and created some amazing memes.
