- The Premier League Christmas calendar is one of the busiest times of the season
- There are four rounds of fixtures between Christmas weekend and the new year
- Liverpool are currently league leaders with a nine-point advantage

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Four rounds of Premier League action across two glorious weeks. Nothing to do but put your feet up with a variety of meat and cheese based meals and a regularly refilled pint of Bayleys and soak it all in.
The Christmas calendar for the Premier League is one which is constantly a point of consternation for managers and players alike. And that is totally understandable. A blizzard of games packed into a few short days at a time of year where pitches are particularly unforgiving and thus more likely to inflict muscle injuries. It’s no wonder the winter break debate has raged on for as long as it has.
But for fans, especially those of us in the United Kingdom (I appreciate a good number of you reading this are in fact across the Atlantic so time difference necessitates very different viewing experiences), Christmas is a procession of top flight games being played out across lunchtimes, mid-afternoons, evenings and nightimes. It is multiple all-dayers accompanied by heart stoppingly unhealthy food and drink.
But navigating such a hectic period is seldom straightforward. Who is playing? When are they playing? What channel is which game on? There is so much to plan and it must be absolutely meticulous. Fortunately, I have been thinking about this ever since the calendar for this season’s fixtures was released. Then when the TV matches were announced? Boy howdy I was off to the races.
So here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming fortnight of festive football taking place between December 21 and January 6. It’s what Jesus would have wanted. Probably.
