The BRIT Awards are the biggest night in UK music.

But aside from dishing out gongs for acts across Blighty – and, in the Global categories, the rest of the world – the night will also be filled with performances from some of the world’s biggest stars.

And despite the ceremony being held tomorrow (Saturday, March 1), the BRITs have announced that two more artists will be taking to the stage – Ezra Collective and their special guest, Jorja Smith.

Winning the Mercury Prize back in 2023, Ezra Collective are one of the most nominated artists at this year’s event, with a chance to win one of the coveted awards in four categories.

Smith won the British Female Solo Artist award at the BRITs back in 2019.

Femi Koleoso ‘honored’ to be performing at BRIT Awards

Ahead of their performance, band member Femi Koleoso said, “Honestly, the opportunity to play at the BRITs is so precious.

“I grew up watching the BRITs; I think about performances from Gorillaz and Skepta; and those moments, when I was sat as a teenager in my room, really were massive for me as wanting to become a musician.

“So I’m honored to play, because it’s an honour, but I’m honored that we get the opportunity to give this moment to the teenage versions of Ezra Collective that will be watching.

“Absolutely can’t wait to make you all dance on Saturday night. God bless you all, peace.”

Charli xcx takes home coveted Songwriter of the Year BRIT Award

Elsewhere ahead of the ceremony, it was announced that Charli XCX will receive the coveted Songwriter of the Year award.

The prize was only set up in 2022, and is decided upon by a select panel of expert judges, with previous winners including Raye, Ed Sheeran and Kid Harpoon.

Damian Christian, Managing Director and President of Promotions at Atlantic Records (part of Warner Music UK) and Chair of the BRIT Committee for 2025 said, “Charli has had an undeniable year, taking her experimental brand of electronic and pop from underground raves to the heart of mainstream culture.

“Charli’s songwriting is distinctive, bold and relentlessly innovative, and, having been one of the UK’s leading songwriters for a number of years now, has taken her craft to new heights with her global phenomenon Brat.

“I’m delighted she has been recognised for this much deserved award.”
