The Silver Surfer has officially arrived in the brand new trailer for The Fantastic Four: The First Steps.
Our latest look at Marvel’s upcoming superhero epic also gives us a very brief look at Galactus too – well, his feet at least. During the trailer’s final moments, a giant pair of machine-clad legs can be seen stomping through The Fantastic Four’s New York home.

Elsewhere, this newly released trailer also gives us our first look at the elasticated abilities of Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards.
We also discover that Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm is expecting a new child, while Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s Ben Grimm AKA The Thing delights kids with his strength and Joseph Quinn’s Johnny Storm lights up the screen.

The trailer debuted on Thursday 17 April and gives us our best look yet at director Matt Shakman’s upcoming Marvel movie.

What happens in The Fantastic Four: First Steps?
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is set to launch the Marvel Cinematic Universe into a. brand new phase.
It’ll introduce us to the comic powerhouse’s first super family and pit them against their biggest challenge yet.
According to Marvel’s official plot line, they’ll be “forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond.” Meanwhile, they must “defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer.”
The synopsis continues, cryptically explaining that “If Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.”
Who else is in it?
In addition to Pascal, Kirby, Moss-Bachrach and Quinn, Shakman’s new Marvel film will also feature Julia Garner as a female Silver Surfer and British actor Ralph Ineson as the imposing Galactus.
Elsewhere, the film will also boast performances from the likes of John Malkovich. While we glimpsed his character in the film’s first trailer, it is currently unclear who he is playing in the movie.
