- Iconic turtle-based series collaborating with anime superstar for four-issue event
- First issue will drop in November
- Appetite for TMNT remains strong – comic book sold out earlier this year

Comic book fans always love a crossover event – and the latest one to involve the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will get fans into a frenzy as they team up with anime superstar Naruto.
TMNT x Naruto
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Naruto is a collaboration between Turtles’ publisher IDW Publishing and Viz Media, which publishes Naruto. This will be a four-issue event, and the team involved has already been announced – Caleb Goellner has written the story, with Hendry Prasetya illustrating. Raul Angulo and Ed Dukeshire are providing colors and letters respectively. The cover art for issue one is by Prasetya and Jorge Jimenez.
IDW Publishing has also given some plotlines to whet the appetite of fans. April O’Neil has a meeting with Tsunade, the leader of the Hidden Leaf Village, which gains Naruto’s attention. But they aren’t the only ones with an interest – the Foot Clan are also watching as they think she has information on mutation research being carried out by Baxter Stockman. With April caught between the Hidden Leaf and the Foot Clan, she’ll need the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to give her some help.
Appetite remains
The appetite for the teenage turtles seems as big as ever. Back in March, the first issue of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin II – Re-Evolution sold out – more than 140,000 copies – before it even hit the stands.
In addition, there is a sequel to last year’s Mutant Mayhem film, which had Seth Rogen among the voice cast, in the works with a slated release of 2026.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Naruto #1 will hit stores on November 13.
