Next February’s event looks set to be a big one as well, seeing as the Super Bowl will be celebrating its 60th anniversary.

Fans have also began wondering who could take the coveted halftime slot, even though we likely won’t know who it is for some time yet.

Nonetheless, even though the 59th Super Bowl has only just been and gone, we know a couple of details about when and where it’ll take place.

What’s the date and location of next year’s Super Bowl?

The 60th Super Bowl will take place on Sunday, February 8, 2026.

The game will be played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, the home field of the San Francisco 49ers.

It previously hosted the Super Bowl in 2015, when the Denver Broncos’ won 24-10 over the Carolina Panthers.

When will we know who’s playing the halftime show?

It won’t be for some time, most likely. Then again, we also tend to find out who is performing quite a few months ahead of the big game.

For example, it was confirmed in September 2024 that Kendrick Lamar would be headlining the Super Bowl in 2025. The year before, Usher was confirmed to be doing the halftime show for 2024 in September 2023.

In terms of the football, the Kansas City Chiefs attempted to make the three-peat but it wasn’t to be. Instead, Philadelphia Eagles got ahead and redeemed themselves for their loss to the Chiefs in 2023.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift’s introduction at the game was met with a chorus of boos. Then again, it didn’t help that there were more Eagles fans than Chiefs fans in the stadium that night. The Philadelphian attendees were reported to make up 80% of the crowd, according to The Athletic.

Swift, accompanied by Ice Spice as she was at last year’s Super Bowl, side-eyed the big screen and laughed it off.

Then, there was Lamar’s landmark halftime show, featuring guest appearances from SZA, Samuel Jackson and a crip-walking Serena Williams. To properly give Drake a kicking, he got a whole stadium singing Not Like us’ iconic “A MINOOOOOOR!” line.
