The question of when Miles Morales’ Spider-Man will be seen in the MCU has been often asked in recent years – and Marvel head Kevin Feige has provided a promising update on this.

Live-action debut

Speaking at the D23 event in Brazil, Feige appeared to confirm that Miles will be coming to the live action MCU – but not for a while.

Talking to Omelete, Feige said: “Miles will appear in the third Spider Verse [film], which is currently in production. I hope that, shortly after that, he can enter the MCU in live-action.”

How soon?

However, when that might be is still a huge question. It is still not known when the third instalment of the Spider-Verse movies will be in theaters. It was originally supposed to be released in March of this year, but Sony scrapped that date in 2023, officially because of the voice cast not being able to complete recording in time due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.

However, since then, a new release date for the film has been conspicuous by its absence. In September, rumors emerged that most of what had already been produced for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse had been scrapped and the film wouldn’t be released until 2027. But two people working on the film took to social media to deny this.

This lack of a release date complicates matters. Spider-Man 4, starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man is slated to come out in July 2026. This might be seen as a convenient entry point for Miles’ Spider-Man, but obviously that cannot happen if, as rumored, the Spider-Verse movie doesn’t come out until after July 26.

But we do know that Feige is committed to bringing Miles into the MCU, which will hearten his many fans. Hopefully, they are all patient.
