Iconic Marvel vigilante White Tiger is set to make his live-action debut later but fans have been left wondering which White Tiger will be in Daredevil: Born Again.
The introduction of the character is a big deal for long-time readers of the Daredevil comics. White Tiger was created by writer Bill Mantlo and artist George Pérez in 1975. He’s famous for being Marvel’s first Hispanic hero.

The character was teased during a recent trailer for Daredevil: Born Again. The show is set to return to our screens in early March after making the jump from Netflix to Disney+.
Daredevil: Born Again will see the White Tiger cross paths with Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock AKA Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin Wilson Fisk.

However, as with many of Marvel’s heroes and villains, various different people have played the White Tiger across his five decade history. So which one will appear in Daredevil: Born Again?
Here’s what we know for sure.
Which iteration of White Tiger is in Daredevil: Born Again?
Daredevil: Born Again will feature White Tiger in his live-action MCU debut. His alter-ego will be Hector Ayala just like the first version of the character that appeared in Marvel comics.
White Tiger / Ayala will be played by Puerto Rican actor Kamar de los Reyes who sadly passed away in December 2023. For those unaware, Ayala is able to transform into the White Tiger by using the power of three Jade Tiger amulets. However, based on what we’ve seen in the Daredevil: Born Again trailers so far, this latest iteration only seems to have access to one amulet.
Over the years, the character has crossed paths with a number of Marvel heroes and villains. These include Spider-Man, Daredevil, Kraven The Hunter and Iron Fist.
In Marvel lore, there have been numerous versions of the White Tiger. Ayala was the first, followed by a White Bengal tigress, a third played by character Kevin Cole in a Black Panther storyline, the fourth played by Ayala’s niece Angela del Toro and a fifth played by Hector’s younger sister Ava.
At this stage, it’s unclear if any of these characters will appear in Daredevil: Born Again. However, the show appears to be taking a more grounded and gritty approach to the character.
When does Daredevil: Born Again come out?
Daredevil: Born Again is available to stream on Disney Plus in the United States following its debut at 6pm on Tuesday 4 March 2025.
Meanwhile, viewers in the UK won’t have too long to wait before they can catch up. There, the show will arrive at 2am GMT on Wednesday 5 March 2025.
