Bianca Censori was once again thrust into the headlines as her outfit sparked controversy at the 2025 Grammy Awards. As the wife of Ye, the Australian model has been no stranger to the spotlight since the pair were first spotted in public together in 2023. But what do we know about the relatively unknown 30-year-old outside of her wardrobe and her divisive husband?
The artist formerly known as Kanye West went through a very public divorce from Kim Kardashian in 2022, amid a firestorm of antisemitic outbursts in the media. Consequently, West was dropped from his contracts and partnerships with Vogue, adidas, CAA, Gap, Balenciaga and Universal Music Group.
According to the official document, Ye and Censori were married on December 20, 2022, a few weeks ahead of their first public sighting together. This would serve as a signifier for what has so far been a relationship shrouded in mystery and intrigue.
The couple’s latest public appearance, on the Grammys red carpet, where Censori appeared practically naked (she was wearing a sheer, see-through slip) once again raised questions about their relationship, with several commentators speculating about the level of control West wields over his wife.
However, unlike Kim Kardashian, Ye’s ex-wife, not too much is known about Censori, so here’s a little bit more about her background.
Who is Bianca Censori?
Censori is a 30-year-old Australian model, born in Melbourne. She is of Italian heritage, with her paternal grandparents emigrating to Australia in 1960. Censori has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in architecture from the University of Melbourne and was a student of architecture at DP Toscano Architects in Collingwood, Victoria,Australia.
When did Bianca Censori meet Kanye West?
LinkedIn tells us that Censori began work as an architectural designer at West’s Yeezy company, in November 2020. A woman called Kate, claiming to know Censori, explained that West had discovered Censori on Instagram, before messaging the Australian model, asking her to work for him. “Ye slid into her DMs, found her on Instagram, and said, ‘Come and work for me,’ and she dropped out. I’m not actually sure if she’s an architect,” said Kate.

Even though they were not publicly photographed together until 2023, a legal document confirms that the pair were married on December 20, 2022. This was the same month that West released the song Censori Overload, only a month after the rapper and producer had finalised his divorce from Kardashian.
Kanye West and Bianca Censori Controversies
In a little over two years, Censori has found herself at the centre of a plethora of controversies. Always involving her husband. The naked stunt at the Grammys is the latest in a ever-lengthening line of public nudity and indecency allegations. In 2023, the couple were investigated by Venice police for “acts contrary to public decency.” The published pictures showed West with his buttocks exposed while Censori had her head in his lap. In February 2024 the model was pictured out in public wearing nothing but a see-through raincoat, similar to how she was dressed at the Grammys. Throughout 2024, more public appearances came complete with similar outfits in which Censori’s naked body was exposed, causing more people to chastise the pair for public indecency.
West has also received significant criticism for posting revealing pictures of Censori to his Instagram, before deleting them. Censori’s friends reportedly staged an intervention for her when she returned to Australia last year, with the Mail reporting that one friend said of the November visit, “Everyone is just glad that they finally were able to get through to Bianca. Her friends let her know exactly how they feel and they told her that she needs to wake the f**k up.
“She knows that she has shut out those close to her and she is also starting to see through the smoky mirrors of her marriage. She is aware of Kanye’s controlling ways and she is starting to see things from an outside perspective.”
