Bridgerton fans, rejoice – season four of the hit Netflix series is officially in production.
This time, the plot will revolve around the second eldest Bridgerton sibling, Benedict – played by Luke Thompson – as he finds romance with Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha).
Based on Julia Quinn’s novel An Offer From A Gentleman, at first, Benedict doesn’t know the name of the woman who catches his eye at his mother’s masquerade ball – referring to her only as the Lady in Silver.
“What’s striking about Season 4 is that it’s the struggle between a proper old-school fairy tale — the romance of it — and the actual reality of the world,” Thompson told Tudum. “And both are true. You have to hold both of them — the romance and the reality — in your hand. In its best version, ‘true love’ happens in the middle of that.”
While it’s likely that the season will hit our screens in 2026, who else will be joining the cast alongside Thompson and Ha? Here’s everything we know so far.
Who are the newcomers to the Bridgerton series four cast?
Alongside Ha, there are several new faces arriving in season four of Bridgerton.
Katie Leung will take on the role of Lady Araminta Gun – the twice-married, twice-widowed, mother of daughters Rosamund and Posy Li (more on them in a second). Araminta is seeking to marry her daughters off this season, and feeling the pressure to secure at least one wedding. According to Tudum, “Araminta does not respond well when anything – or anyone – threatens her standing in society”. We have been warned!
Next up is Rosamund Li, played by Michelle Mao. Rosamund will set her sights on Benedict early on in this social season – and, much like her mother, is determined to get what she wants! Described as “beautiful, vain, and eager to please her mother”, Rosamund is Araminta’s eldest daughter and most prized possession.
By contrast, Rosamund’s younger sister, Posy Li, couldn’t be more different to her sibling. Played by Isabella Wei, Posy is also debuting this year but is rarely in the spotlight – and is much kinder, chattier, and has a more overly friendly demeanor than Rosamund. However, this often causes her to put her foot in her mouth!
And while they’re definitely not new arrivals in Mayfair, two more Bridgerton characters have been bumped up to the series’ main cast. We’ll be seeing much more of Alice Mondrich (Emma Naomi) and Brimsley (Hugh Sachs) in season four.
