Euphoria season 3 has finally officially gone into production after nearly three years since its latest series finished airing on HBO.
However, the jubilation around the return of the Sam Levinson-created drama – which stars Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, and Jacob Elordi, to name a few – has been dogged by fears it is the end. Those close to the show have been talking about its third go being its last.
Francesca Orsi, the head of drama the network, told Deadline, “We’ve talked about it, I don’t think anything is over until it’s over, but it’s been discussed that this is the end.”

No word has been confirmed, but it doesn’t look good for the show’s superfans!
What else did Francesca Orsi say about Euphoria season 3?
While spilling about the upcoming season of The White Lotus – which is another hotly anticipated HBO property airing very soon – Orsi spilled some fresh tea straight from the set. Apparently, everything is going “beautifully”.
“I wanted to give them their first week to themselves to settle in. They have beautifully. I talked to Sam this morning at like, 6:30 in the morning on his way to set. Everyone’s so happy to be back, and I’m relieved we’re finally here,” she told the outlet.
Who isn’t coming back to the show?
The eight-episode third season is expected to be set four years after the end of the second season. Some of its talent haven’t made the cut to appear on the current crop of call sheets.
Barbie Ferreria already ruled herself out to reprise her role of Kat. Storm Reid also isn’t coming back to play Gia, the little sister of Zendaya’s Rue.
Javon Walton won’t be back as Ashtray, as he was killed in a police shootout in the season finale.

Tragically, Angus Cloud’s death in August 2023 means that his character Fez won’t be there either.
