Yellowjackets fans don’t have much longer to wait for the third season of the drama – Paramount+ has announced it will debut in February 2025.

February start

Paramount+ has announced that season 3 will start on February 14, with two episodes dropping. New episodes will then be released weekly on Paramount+ with Showtime.

Anticipation has been ramping up for the new season, as the conclusion of season two left several mysteries to be explored further, following Natalie’s death in the present and the cabin being burnt down in the past.

The cast and crew have teased what fans can expect in the third season. In the past, the teens, still stuck in the wilderness, are set to go more “feral” this time round. Meanwhile back in the present, the adults have to deal with the loss of their friend.

Star arrives

What we do know is that Hillary Swank is joining the cast. No details have been given about which character two-time Oscar winner Swank will be playing yet, but it is understood that she will be joining mid-way through the season. There is also the option of her becoming a series regular if a fourth season is commissioned.

The show follows the lives of a group of teenagers who are part of a girls’ high school soccer team who were involved in a plane crash in a remote area of Canada in 1996. The survivors of the crash are stranded in the wilderness for 19 months and the show follows their battle for survival – including being driven to cannibalism. It also focuses on the consequences of those events for the characters as adults in 2021 and how it continues to affect them many years later.
