The day is here, we have finally found out who is playing young Elle Woods in the Elle Amazon series. Reese Witherspoon shared a video on TikTok talking to the actress she has chosen as Elle. We have revealed our young Elle Woods castings, but Witherspoon has spoken, and the girl looks just like her!
The Legally Blonde prequel series was first revealed in April 2024, with Reese Witherspoon’s company Hello Sunshine involved. Witherspoon gained fame in 2001 by playing the character Elle in two Legally Blonde movies. Elle is a college student who vows to get into Harvard Law School to win back her boyfriend Warner (Matthew Davis). The sequel came in 2003, and a third movie is in the works.

The big Elle reveal
To her official TikTok, the actress posted a video of her greeting the girl she selected to play Elle. She declares she’s “excited” and “nervous” to tell her the news.
Witherspoon starts by speaking to the actress, “Your audition tape was amazing, as we talked about, and we had to make a really hard decision the other day,” she tells her. As Witherspoon talks, clips of the actress’s audition tape are played where she is recreating Elle Woods’ famous hot tub video essay. Celebrities like Kim Kardashian have even recreated the iconic scene.
“And we wanted to tell you in person because you’ve just worked really hard and we just want to tell you don’t have to audition anymore because you got the part. You’re Elle Woods.” she continues.
The actress then starts crying as she takes in the information. Who wouldn’t, playing a young Elle Woods is the role of a lifetime. She then asks Witherspoon, “really” and if she can hug her. The ladies embrace and fangirl over the news, while Witherspoon jokes she “hasn’t slept in three nights.”
Now everyone is cutting onions. After settling down, the young girl calls her mom on the phone and tells her she got the part in Elle. Except Witherspoon takes the phone to speak to her mom, who can’t believe it.
Uh, duh, who would?
The phone is handed back to the actress who says “I’m Elle Woods” to her excited mother. After that, the ladies discuss how alike they sound, and Witherspoon says upon seeing the audition tape that she thought “they were the same person”.
They look alike too!
The two say goodbye on the phone and the actress starts clapping in excitement and yells “Me”.
What a mood.
So who is playing Young Elle Woods?
Allow us to introduce you to young Elle Woods. Selected to play the part of Elle is Lexi Minetree. By her TikTok, it is indicated that Minetree studied theatre at college as her major.
Aside from being gorgeous, she looks like a young Witherspoon with the same blonde hair and eyes. According to her IMDB page, she has had roles in Law and Order: SVU, The Paramedic Who Stalked Me, and The Murdaugh Murders. She also has credits on stage and has spoken on her TikTok about being a theatre girlie.
Her stage credits include playing Brooke in Noises Off and Tood in The Cover Of Life. For her role as Tood, she earned a Best Actress Award at the Fall One Act Competition.
Impressive.
She has a degree in Theatre and Public Relationships from The University of Southern California. She also trained at BADA, the British American Drama Academy, in London.
Apparently she is also a producer, because while at USC, she produced and helped create the first-ever B.A. Senior Showcase at USC to help theatre grads when they leave college.
Well, the program certainly helped her, and now she has the role of a lifetime!
