Zendaya’s appearance on the Golden Globes red carpet has kick-started rumours that she is now engaged to Tom Holland.
Fans noticed that she was wearing a large diamond ring on the fourth finger of her left hand. Consequently, they assumed this could be an engagement ring.
Adding to the rumours, a post shared by HBO Max – the network that broadcasts Zendaya’s show Euphoria – looked very telling.
HBO tweeted an image of Zendaya wearing her ring with a clip from the show that seems to confirm her engagement. The clip in question comes from season two, episode 5, where Maddy (Alexia Demie) asks Zendaya’s character Rue over when she witnessed two other characters kiss.
“Rue, when was this?” Maddy asks.
“Right after New Year’s,” Rue responds. The account insinuates a parallel between Rue’s discovery and Zendaya’s engagement happening around New Year’s Day.

How long have Zendaya and Tom Holland been together?
Zendaya and Tom Holland confirmed they were in a relationship in 2021 during the press tour for their film Spider Man: No Way Home.
However, it is believed that they first began dating back in 2016 after filming the first film in their Spiderman franchise, Spiderman: Homecoming. They then took a break from dating around 2019 and both started seeing other people.
Zendaya briefly dated Euphoria co-star Jacob Elordi, while Holland dated English actress Nadia Parkes around 2020. The following year, they reunited and have been together ever since.
The pair are generally quite quiet about their relationship, so if they were to only reveal discreetly that they were engaged, it would make sense.
Did Zendaya win at the Golden Globes?
Going into the Golden Globes, it looked like Challengers was in for a shot of doing well. It was nominated for four awards and Zendaya was up for Best Actress In a Comedy or Musical.
Zendaya, however, lost out to Demi Moore. Moore’s moving acceptance speech for her first ever acting award, received for her performance in The Substance, ended up being one of the talking points of the ceremony.
Overall, Challengers didn’t do quite as well as expected. It only won one of the four awards it was nominated for, which was for Atticus Finch and Trent Reznor’s Best Original Score.
