Zendaya is many things, she is an actress, a style icon, and is supposedly now engaged. She has been an actress since she was young. Zendaya started on Disney and moved into Hollywood roles. The actress is a public figure because of her prominent acting roles. Also, Zendaya’s net worth is nothing to be shocked about.
Although we know her from Disney, Zendaya became better known for her mature roles in shows like Euphoria and the Spider-Man franchise, where she met her boyfriend Tom Holland, and began to build her fortune.

Zendaya’s stardom has risen even further through her relationship with Holland. Zendaya and Holland have been dating for around three and a half years. The two confirmed their relationship in September 2021 and have been the sweethearts of Hollywood ever since.
They, however, have stayed busy throughout their relationship. Holland is set to star an untitled Spider-Man sequel. Zendaya recently starred in and was nominated for a Golden Globe for her sports drama Challengers. She will work alongside Holland in the next Christopher Nolan project The Odyssey.
While the actress has kept a packed schedule in 2024 and shows no signs of slowing down in 2025, how has her career shaped her net worth so far?
Zendaya’s early life

Zendaya, full name Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman was born on September 1, 1996, in Oakland, California. Both her parents, Claire Stoermer and Kazembe Ajamu Coleman are teachers. Her father is African American and Nigerian and her mother is German and Scottish.
The actress has five other siblings and is the youngest child. Zendaya started her performing in the arts when she was young. At age six she performed a play for Black History Month and at eight, she joined a hip-hop dance trope.
Zendaya’s mother also encouraged her to get into the arts. Her mother worked at the California Shakespeare Theater as a house manager during the summer. Zendaya was a member here and helped her mother out in this job.
This inspired her to pursue a career in acting and she joined the Oakland School of The Arts. During this time, Zendaya was cast in several plays, particularly in Shakespeare productions at various playhouses. When she was in seventh grade, her family moved to California so she could pursue her career. In 2009, young Zendaya got her big break.
Zendaya’s big break
In 2009 Zendaya was into modeling for brands like Macy’s, and doing commercials. Her big break came in September 2009 when she auditioned for the role of Cece Jones for the Disney Channel sitcom Shake It Up. Although she didn’t get the part of Cece, she won the part of Cece’s best friend, Rocky Blue.
Shake It Up premiered in November 2010 and was a hit on Disney Channel, receiving 6.2 million viewers during the show’s premiere. During this time, Zendaya grew herself steadily as a fixture of the Disney family, acting on Shake It Up and performing in songs for the show like Watch Me and Something To Dance For.
During and after Shake It Up she starred in Disney Channel original movies, Zapped and Frenemies.
After Shake It Up ended in 2013, Zendaya stayed with the Disney Channel. In 2015, she began playing the lead role in K.C. Undercover for three seasons. In the show, she played the titular character, K.C. Cooper, a maths nerd who joins her undercover spy parents on their top-secret missions. The show ended in February 2018.
Zenday’s mainstream acting fame
For Gen-Z, Zendaya was a staple on their TV screens for around seven years while on Disney Channel. However, Zendaya’s mainstream fame didn’t come because of Disney. Her mainstream fame came when she stepped into Hollywood.
Zendaya’s feature film debut happened in 2017 when she starred alongside Holland in Spider-Man: Homecoming. The actress has played Michelle Jones (MJ) in three Spider-Man movies so far. The role of MJ shot her to stardom and showed that she could act beyond the two-dimensional Disney Channel acting formula.
Also in 2017, Zendaya notably starred alongside High School Music star and fellow Disney alum Zac Efron in The Greatest Showman. These roles gained her notoriety as an actress, as well as her television role playing Rue Bennett in the popular HBO teenage drama Euphoria.
Zendaya’s career achievements and highlights
Although she is first and foremost an actress, Zendaya’s achievements extend beyond the screen. This year she was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. She didn’t win, but it was a noteworthy nomination. In 2023 she won a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Television Series for Euphoria.
Other notable awards in acting include a few Critics Choice Awards for her roles in Malcolm & Marie, Euphoria, and Spider-Man: No Way Home. Twice Zendaya has won the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series Award for Euphoria.
During her Disney days, she was nominated for countless Teen Choice and Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards for both K.C. Undercover and Shake It Up. In 2020 after her Euphoria Emmy win Zendaya became the Youngest Drama Actress winner and the second-ever black woman to win the award behind Viola Davis.
Zendaya’s achievements in music
Earlier it was mentioned that Zendaya can also sing but she hasn’t played up her music that much. She sung on Disney, but she did start to carve out a music career for herself outside of the channel.
She has released one studio album, Zendaya. Her debut single Swag It Out was released in 2011. However, her official debut single as an artist, Replay, was released in August 2013. Zendaya’s single was more successful than most of her music endeavours.
In 2014, she won a Radio Disney Music Award for Best Style and also was nominated for Best Artist.
In terms of charting, Zendaya didn’t do too bad, considering she only has one album. Replay was a moderate hit, reaching Number 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
One of her other musical collaborations, Rewrite The Stars with Zac Efron from The Greatest Showman also proved to be popular, and went platinum twice and also charted high globally upon the movie’s release. Her first and only album reached Number 51 on the US Billboard Hot 200 chart. Zendaya’s other musical achievements include writing credits for songs written for Euphoria. Labyrinth is usually performing the songs, but Z has written and featured on some.
Zendaya net worth
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Zendaya is worth $30 million. Her successful transition from Disney to Hollywood can be attributed to her staggering net worth. She has had a string of successful movies and TV shows that have paid her a generous salary, too.
TV work
Zendaya’s TV work began her career and gave her her first salary. Some outlets report that for her three seasons on Shake It Up, Zendaya was paid $140,000. On her other Disney show, she had a considerable salary jump. During K.C. Undercover’s three seasons, she made $400,000 per season, taking her total to $1.2 million, if rumors are to be believed.
Then in 2019 when she signed on for Euphoria, her salary again increased. The exact amount she was paid for season 1 wasn’t released. However, her co-star Sydney Sweeney who also has found mainstream fame was reportedly paid $345,000 for season 1. As an executive producer and main character, we’d assume Zendaya’s salary was and still is at least double that.
After season 2 there were reports that Zendaya would negotiate her contract for Euphoria to be paid $1 million per episode, although these claims were never substantiated. Since season 3 hasn’t been released, this cannot be confirmed or denied.
Movie work
Zendaya has built a steady filmography since her feature film debut in 2017, and a a hefty net worth. Starting with Spider-Man: Homecoming, Zendaya was paid a lot, but we don’t know how much. However, 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home indicated she was earning a pretty penny. Puck News reported the Euphoria star made “$10 million from #SpiderManNoWayHome bonuses.”
Leading man Holland was paid a lot for his role in Spider-Man also, reportedly earning $500,000 for the first film. Because Zendaya was more famous at the time, we could argue she was paid close to what Holland was – or even more.
For her other hit movie series, Dune, Zendaya was paid $300,000 for Dune: Part 1 according to Yahoo! Entertainment, and $2 million for her bigger role in Dune: Part 2. Just so everyone knows, she was only on-screen for two minutes in Dune: Part 1.
In Challengers, her biggest payday yet, she received $10 million for starring in and producing the movie.
Of course, that’s no big deal to Zendaya, who has more projects coming up and many other assets that boost her net worth.
Zendaya’s endorsements and sponsorships
Zendaya is a triple threat because she can act, sing, and is a fashion girlie. Because of her reputation as a fashion icon and her work with stylists like Law Roach, she has had many endorsement deals with fashion and beauty brands. In 2019 she was the spokeswoman for Lancôme, Bvlgari in 2020, and in 2023 in her biggest campaign, she became a Louis Vuitton brand ambassador.
Zendaya’s real estate portfolio
Naturally, with her salary and earnings, Zendaya has invested in beautiful properties. In 2016, 20-year-old Zendaya bought her first real estate property, a $1.4 million Southern California home. Reportedly she still has the home. Later in 2019, she bought a place in the San Fernando Valley, a $3.97 million ranch-style home that is 5,000 square feet. Reportedly she rents out this home for a steep $12,000 a month.
You’re not a celebrity without a New York apartment, and Zendaya got in on the New York property game. She purchased a three-bedroom condo in the Quay Tower in Brooklyn in 2020 for $4.9 million. The property is close to the waterfront and is still owned by the actress.
When her relationship with Holland appeared to become more serious, Zendaya and Holland reportedly chose to spend more time in London. Holland hails from South West London, so his owning a property in the area isn’t surprising. He bought his place for £3.5 million ($4.3 million) in 2019, and Zendaya moved in with him in 2023. Maybe by now, she has some stake in the property, but we aren’t sure.
Other revenue streams/businesses
Zendaya has had her clothing line Daya for several years now. There isn’t much info about the company’s net worth, but since it has been going since 2016, we believe that Daya has built up a good revenue. Her other income streams in this are thanks to her roles as a brand ambassador for high fashion brands, which we know she must’ve been paid well for.
Philanthropy and charity work
Zendaya is a dedicated woman when it comes to charity. In 2012 she became the ambassador for the charity Convoy Of Hope. She helped them to raise money for Hurricane Sandy and to help women. She has been vocal about diversity in the industry, protecting women’s rights, and stopping bullying. Notably in 2017, she participated in a campaign with her Spider-Man co-stars called Stomp Out Bullying for a public service announcement.
Throughout her career, Zendaya has remained humble and charitable, and all the world wants is for her to continue her success in 2025.
