Thrilling news for Call of Duty spooky fans: the next Zombies map, The Tomb, is arriving on January 28 with the launch of Season 2 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Unearth the Secrets of The Tomb

The developers revealed this surprise in the detailed blog post, stating,

“Let’s just get this out of the way: we’re launching our next Zombies map in less than two weeks. Surprise! Just after the release of Citadelle des Morts in Season 01 Reloaded, The Tomb drops at the start of Season 02 on January 28.”

The maps will let the players continue from where the previous one: Citadelle Des Morts left off, taking control of characters including Weaver, Grey, Garver, and Maya. They will resume their mission to search for the Sentinel Artifact.

For those wondering about what exactly Tomb is and what it will look like, Call of Duty offered detailed insights about the map in the post. This map is set in catacombs, and according to Treyarch,

” Built on the remains of ancient burial grounds with suspected origins dating back to 2500 B.C.E., these catacombs went undisturbed for centuries until the early 1900s… and what lies beneath may run deeper than anyone ever imagined.”

However, when the British archaeologist, Sir Archibald Fotherington-Smythe began the excavation in 1908, things got changed. The dreadful part is no one knows where he went and what happened to him.

Regarding its features, Tomb is going to be more like Liberty Falls, offering a familiar sense of gameplay, and players can expect the narrow spaces, which intensify the action.

Gameplay Features

Treyarch has designed The Tomb to feel similar to the fan-favorite map Liberty Falls. Players can expect tighter spaces for more intense action. Furthermore, Treyarch mentioned,

” Just like in Liberty Falls, we’re delivering plenty of side Easter Eggs and even a reimagined Wonder Weapon inspired by our past. That’s all we’ll say about that for now.”

Moreover, the Pack-a-Punch weapon upgrades are going to be different and more fun, also hinting at the return of one of the most popular sub-machine guns. Now, fans are speculating what developers will roll out this time.

The cherry on top here is the release of the official soundtrack for The Tomb, created by Treyarch’s own Kevin Sherwood and the music team. Players can expect to hear more from Treyarch and must stay tuned for more updates about the upcoming Season 2.

Black Ops 6 is once again gearing up its fans for new maps, weapons, and more stuff that is yet to be revealed.
