In a world of bought and paid for influencers who will peddle any product or say anything nice about something as long as their bank accounts are bolstered by any company willing to pay them, IShowSpeed is proving to be a breath of fresh air to social media users during his recent trip to China.

Highlights of Speed’s trip to the Far East have gone viral across X, with users praising the massively popular streamer for the genuine nature of his interactions with the Chinese people. He also became the first person to ever backflip at the Great Wall of China. Obviously.

Social Media Reacts to IShowSpeed in China

Users on X seemed besotted by Speed’s approach to Chinese culture, especially at a time when the relationship between the US and China is extremely fragile.

What Next For Speed?

Naturally, as his life revolves around backflipping on historical landmarks, winning streaming awards and going viral every other day, Speed likely has a few potential plans up his sleeve for what his next major moment could be. One of which, could involve a return to WWE, after he was destroyed by Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker at the Royal Rumble, last month, in a moment that smashed WWE viewership figures.

Speed has also talked about returning to WWE to help champion Cody Rhodes in his WrestleMania 41 main event against John Cena, following Cena’s shocking recent heel turn. Given how successful (and painful) Speed’s last trip into the squared circle was, we wouldn’t be surprised to see him turn up at ‘Mania in Vegas, next month.
