- WrestleMania 41 is the first ‘Mania to be streamed live on Netflix
- Pubity spoke to several WWE Superstars ahead of the huge shows this weekend
- WWE signed a $5 billion deal with Netflix in 2024

WWE will make history this weekend when WrestleMania 41 is streamed live on Netflix.
While still streaming on Peacock in the United States, WWE will see their biggest show of the year stream in all other territories around the world on Netflix, as part of the behemoth $5 billion deal the two entertainment powerhouses signed in 2024.
The deal sees WWE’s flagship weekly show, Monday Night Raw, air live on the streaming giant every week and, outside of the US, SmackDown, NXT and all Premium Live Events (Pay-Per-Views) are available on the platform, along with a slew of library content.
Initially a 10-year deal (which could be doubled to 20, or cut short at five), the partnership between the pair was Netflix’s first regular venture into live, weekly sports/entertainment programming and has proven to be a success in the early months, since kickstarting in January of this year. WWE’s programming regularly ranks in the most watched lists every week. There are also more original series expected to arrive on the platform in the near future.
Another History Making WrestleMania
So, this week, ahead of WrestleMania 41 emanating from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, Pubity spoke exclusively to several WWE Superstars on the ground in Sin City to find out which Netflix shows they would most like to appear in.
Former Intercontinental Champion Carlito had a few choices for potential roles, which he believed were rightfully his as, technically, he works for Netflix now.
“I dunno, there’s a lot of great Netflix shows. It would have been cool to be on Ozark. Narcos would have been cool. So we’ll see. Apparently they’re making a new Narcos so I’d like to be in that one. I’m gonna talk to the higher ups and see if I can get an audition. Actually, no, they should just give me the part, right? Cos I work for those guys.”
German superstar Ludwig Kaiser had his eye on his own reality series alongside girlfriend and current WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton.
“You know what it would probably be a series about me and Tiffany, about our life. Probably a reality show about the two of us. I think it would be interesting for people and I can tell you there’s a whole lot of stuff going on. So it’s an eventful life for us. We’re on different shows and only get one day a week together. I think it would be very interesting.”
NXT North American Champion, Ricky Saints, was straight to the point with his choice, simply stating, “Black Mirror”.
WWE x Gilmore Girls – The Most Essential Entertainment Crossover Ever?
Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria wants to take a trip to Stars Hollow for her dream role, saying, “Gilmore Girls. I want to live in Stars Hollow. Go to the little coffee shop,” although the Irish superstar wasn’t so sure her favourite show would lend itself so well to a wrestling gimmick when it was suggested to her, admitting, “I’m not sure how that would work”.
Finally, Alpha Academy favourite Maxxine Dupri was particularly impassioned in her reply.
“Oh my gosh! Ginny and Georgia! Season three is coming out soon and it’s a great Netflix show. It’s scripted, it’s not a reality show, but it’s so good. You have to watch it. It’s a little girly swirly, but it’s great.”
Given the success so many WWE Superstars have found in the past when they have transitioned to TV and Hollywood from the squared circle, we should not be surprised to see a few turning up in other Netflix categories in the near future. Now, about that Making A Murderer: The Undertaker series focused on him burning down the funeral home with his parents and brother Kane inside…
