These newcomers burst onto the screen with Talk To Me, a low-fi terror that saw a group of kids play party games that allowed them to commune with the dead.
Naturally, things didn’t end well. However, the film became a smash hit, terrifying audiences with its fresh storytelling and unflinching scenes of possessed horror.

Cut to 2025 and the Philippou siblings have returned – but what is their sophomore feature about and will it be as terrifying as their first outing?
By the looks of its early trailers, the answer is a firm yes.
What is the movie Bring Her Back about?
While many key details about Bring Her Back’s plot are currently under wraps, the film’s latest trailer helps shed some light on what we can expect.
It appears the Philippous are sticking in the realm of the undead to tell a story about a mother who seems determined to resurrect a family member who has died.
Things are complicated when two new adopted siblings become part of this sinister ritual after arriving at the home of their new foster mother.
Paddington 2 star Sally Phillips plays the foster mother obsessed with bringing people back from the other side. Meanwhile, the remaining cast largely features relatively new and unknown actors.
Interestingly, the film only has one official plot synopsis – and it’s tantalisingly brief. “A brother and sister uncover a terrifying ritual at the secluded home of their new foster mother,” it reads.
Clearly, the filmmakers want to save all of its surprises for the big screen.
When is Bring Her Back released?
